International Flights: August 29 Resumption Not Certain – FG

Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 says the August 29 resumption of international flights is tentative.

The Coordinator, Sani Aliyu, said this on Monday, NAN reports.

He said the date announced by Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, would be for consideration of resumption of flights.

Mompha is facing money laundering charges before the Federal High Court.

The federal government has said it is weighing its options, over the closure of shops belonging to Nigerian traders in Ghana.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, revealed this when he met with the League of Progressive Ambassadors of Nigeria officials, led by its president, Jasper Emenike, on Monday

Emenike, who briefed Onyeama on the state of affairs, called for the intervention of the government.

Nigeria has recorded 417 new cases of COVID-19, bringing to 49,485 the number of confirmed cases in the country.

Announcing this Monday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said Lagos recorded 207 new cases; Kaduna, 44; Ondo, 38; Abia, 28; Anambra, 21; Plateau, 20; Bauchi, 13; Oyo and Ebonyi, nine each; Delta and Edo, seven each; Enugu, six; Niger, three; Gombe, two; while Ogun, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Kano recorded one each.
