Emir Advocates Rights Of Women, Youths, Children In North

The Emir of Anka who doubles as the chairman, Zamfara State council of chiefs, Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad Muhammad has urged policymakers both at the local, states and federal levels to formulate policies that will promote youths development, empowerment and general well-being of young people, so as to reduce insecurity in the country.

Gov Fintiri Hails CAN Chairman For Disclosing COVID-19 Status

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has commended the state Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Stephen Mamza, for publicly declaring his COVID-19 positive status.

Stephen Mamza who is also the Catholic Bishop of Yola announced on Sunday that he had tested positive for COVID-19, thus becoming the first prominent person in Adamawa State to publicly declare his status.

Governor Fintiri while commending Bishop Mamza’s openness said his action would spread the message to the doubting masses, against the backdrop that many people in the state still do not believe in the reality of COVID-19.

Christian Genocide: Muslim, Christian Youths Attack UK Lawmakers

The Youth Christian and Muslim Forum of Nigeria (YCMFN) has attacked members of the All-Party Parliamentary Group in the United Kingdom (APPG) over their allegations of Christian genocide in Nigeria.

YCMFN described the claim by the parliamentary group as false and misleading.

The forum made up of Christian and Muslim youths, advised the UK parliamentarians to focus on sanctity of all human lives irrespective of religion or ethnic biases.

Amnesty International (AI) on Sunday said Nigerian authorities have left rural communities at the mercy of rampaging bandits.
