Gov Wike Reacts To Tinubu’s Edo State Comments

Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers State on Saturday said he was shocked by the comments made by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the political crisis rocking Edo state.

He also said former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole does not have the moral standing to tell Edo people not to vote for Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Governor Wike who is also the Chairman of PDP National Campaign Council for the Edo 2020 Governorship Election said the purported issue of secondary school certificate does not hold water.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has announced that it will not postpone the date of the Edo State governorship election slated for September 19.

National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye, said the commission will not be disturbed by the threats of violence by political parties and candidates.
