American tech company, Apple has become the most valuable company in the world on Friday after posting blockbuster quarterly earnings that sent shares of the technology company up as much as 7%.

Shares of Apple reached $412 at Friday’s intraday high, putting the company’s market value at $1.762 trillion, dethroning the oil giant Saudi Aramco as the most valuable company in the world with market value, worth $1.759 trillion at Friday’s intraday high.

Naming Of Rail Stations: Amaechi Sends Message To Obasanjo

Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi may have calmed down Nigerians asking for the naming of rail stations after former Nigerian leader, Olusegun Obasanjo and others.

In a statement Friday night, Amaechi said more prominent Nigerians will still benefit from the Federal Government’s naming of railway stations across the country.

He was specifically reacting to the demand by rail workers union, that the late Alhaji Waziri Mohammed, chairman of the board, be honoured with a big railway station.

Why Nigeria Signed Sovereignty Clause In Loan Agreement With China

Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has insisted the country has not signed away its sovereignty to China.

He explained what the clauses implied.

Speaking during an interview on AIT on Friday, Amaechi explained that the clause was only to guarantee the repayment of the loan and not for Nigeria to lose its sovereignty.

According to him, the federal government approached China for loans, because of their low interest rates, the payback period and moratorium.
