Joe Biden’s election as US president in November would restore UK-US relations, repair the diplomatic damage caused by the Trump administration, and boost the prospects of a transatlantic trade deal, according to European diplomats and trade experts.

Five people have drowned in a  boat mishap which occurred at Ikorodu area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Friday night.

The incident occurred around 8.00pm on Friday.

The mishap occurred after a 20-passenger capacity commercial ferry with 21 passengers on board took off illegally from Èbúté Ẹrọ Jetty at about few minutes past 8.00pm heading towards Ikorodu, ran into an unforeseen object on the Waterways causing the boat to capsize.

9 Nigerians Stopped From Boarding Evacuation Flight

Nine Nigerians on Friday night were excluded from the second evacuation flight from the United States for flouting Government’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Among them is a family of five, according to Mr. Benaoyagha Okoyen, the Consul General of Nigeria in New York, who oversaw the evacuation activities.

Okoyen told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the airport that they were not allowed to check-in after five of them failed to present a negative coronavirus test result.

The negative COVID-19 test result is one of the requirements for evacuation under the Revised Quarantine Protocol of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.…

Medical practitioners have warned that the novel coronavirus may trigger priapism ― an erection lasting longer than four hours.

The scientists made this warning after an unidentified 62-year-old man from France suffered the painful condition while receiving care in the hospital for a severe bout of COVID-19.

His erection was reportedly caused by trapped blood in the penis, which was found to be full of blood clots when it was drained by medics.

Thrombosis or blood clotting has been reported as a dangerous complication in up to a third of coronavirus-infected patients.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of another reactivated aircraft, an ATR-42 (NAF 930) for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) in its fight against insurgency.

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director of Relations and Information, who made this known in a statement in Abuja, said that NAF took delivery of the aircraft on Friday.

Daramola said that the effort was in furtherance of NAF’s sustained efforts at ensuring the availability of more serviceable ISR platforms for the prosecution of war against insurgency and other forms of criminality in the country.
