The All Progressives Congress (APC) has opted for indirect mode of primary election for Ondo State.

The primary for the governorship election is slated for July 20.

The ruling party also began its screening of the 12 aspirants at an undisclosed hotel in Utako, in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Nation reports that the Governor Mai Mala Buni- led Caretaker Committee resolved to stick to the mode of primary earlier adopted by the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee, NWC.

The Prime Minister of Cote d’Ivoire, Amadou Gon Coulibaly, 61, is dead.

The country’s president, Alassane Ouattara who announced his death via his official Twitter account said he died shortly after attending a cabinet meeting at the presidential palace in Abidjan on Wednesday afternoon.

He said, “Fellow compatriots, Ivory Coast is mourning.

“ It is with deep pain that I announce to you that Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly has left us.

“I salute the memory of a statesman, a man of great loyalty, dedication, and love for his homeland.”

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has reacted to reports that former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, gave him ₦4billion.

Reports had claimed that Osinbajo also allegedly gave instructions to Magu to release some of the recovered loots.

But reacting, a statement issued by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, on Wednesday, described the report as fake news.

He explained that Osinbajo has never been involved in such shady activities.

He said, “Inundated
