70 Countries Are Running Out Of HIV Drugs

More than 70 countries warned they are at risk of running out of HIV medication due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a survey conducted by the World Health Organisation.

Twenty-four countries said they have a “critically low” stock of antiretroviral medicine, or ARVs, largely used as a therapy to treat HIV, or have seen a disruption in their supply chain as a result of the pandemic, the WHO said.

One Killed As 3-Storey Building Collapses In Lagos

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Saturday rescued six people alive, underneath the rubbles of a three-story building which collapsed on Freeman Street, Lagos Island, Lagos State.

The agency also recovered the body of a child who died in the collapsed building.

American Navy has graduated its first African-American female strike fighter pilot. She is Madeline Swegle, a Virginia native from Burke.

She will receive her Wings of Gold on July 31, according to Naval Air Training Command.

Swegle first graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2017, according to Stars and Stripes.

She completed her tactical air pilot training syllabus at Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas, this week, qualifying her to fly F/A-18 Super Hornet and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft, among others.

Ayo Fayose, former Ekiti State Governor, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to order an investigation into the sales of properties seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) under the suspended acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu.
