The World Health Organization, WHO, regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, has revealed countries with no COVID-19 death cases.

Africa has recorded 14,386 deaths due to complications arising from COVID-19.

According to the latest figure released by the WHO, the number of COVID-19 cases in Africa has risen to 663,648 in the past 24 hours.

Africa has also recorded more than 343,000 recoveries from COVID-19 infections.

National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has appointed Ojo Amos Olatunde as the Acting Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA).

The former clerk Mohammed Sani-Omolori had been removed for refusing to retire after 35 years in service.

I Receive Calls Over Allegations Against Me – Malami Petitions Police

Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police over publications accusing him of massive corruption.

He wants the police to carry out comprehensive investigation into the “libelous and criminal defamation of his character and integrity”.

Malami had stated that he was traumatized by the allegations.

His petition signed by Sunday Ibrahim Ameh, SAN, is demanding apology and retraction.

A member of the Federal Government Special Public Works Programme (SPWP) in Ebonyi, Ann Agomeze, has explained the criteria for selection.

Police Arrests Former Staff For Killing Gokada CEO Fahim Saleh

Police in the United States on Friday said they have arrested a former personal assistant to Fahim Saleh, suspected to have killed the Gokada founder.

Saleh’s personal assistant, Tyrese Devon Haspil, 21, arrested on Friday, is expected to be charged in a criminal complaint with second-degree murder and other crimes, New York Times reported.

The Gokada CEO was discovered dead on Tuesday afternoon by his sister inside his $2.25 million condo in a luxury building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the police said.
