Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates, has described the delay in the process of getting a coronavirus test as a complete waste.

Gates lamented that the duration of getting a COVID-19 test results has defeated the purpose for which they are carried out.

He said COVID-19 test was aimed at getting patients isolated on time to prevent the spread of the virus, but the delay in getting test results has defeated such aim.

COVID-19 Patient Without Symptoms Should Isolate At Home – Govt

The Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee on COVID-19 in Kwara State, Femi Oladiji, has said only those with symptoms of COVID-19 can be isolated at the isolation centre.

Oladiji disclosed that the government has changed its strategy hence those who are asymptomatic can self isolate at home.

He disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Ilorin.

“We have changed our strategy; so it is only when you have symptoms that you can visit us, if you don’t have symptoms, you self isolate at home,” Oladiji said.

He died on Wednesday afternoon after complicated diabetic issues.

Momah’s death came after celebrating his 77th birthday on July 6 during which he launched his 13th book titled: “Restructuring to save Nigeria from post-oil disintegration.”

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has condemned the fresh violence in Southern Kaduna.

MACBAN’s spokesman, Ibrahim Bayero Zango, said the renewed killings in Southern Kaduna should be blamed on Zango Kataf youths.
