₦81bn Theft At NDDC Is Mere Pickpocketing – Asari Dokubo

Asari Dokubo, leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force, has given his opinion on the alleged mismanagement of ₦81 billion by the interim management committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

According to Dokubo said, the alleged mismanagement is mere pickpocketing and nothing compared to what Nigerians from other regions “are stealing” from the Niger Delta people.

The national assembly is currently investigating the alleged mismanagement of the funds by the IMC.

President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered a forensic audit of the commission’s activities from 2001 to 2019.

The list containing names of Senators and House of Representatives members involved in the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, contracts has surfaced.

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio submitted the names to the National Assembly committees probing the activities of the commission last Thursday.

The list was part of a letter the Minister sent to the National Assembly and also copied the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

Ibrahim Magu, the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has declared that he will no longer hide but was now ready to fight back at orchestrated attacks against his person.

Magu said he will henceforth reply to all the allegations against him in public.

Thirty-five Nigerians arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja from France through Airfrance flight AF0936 on Sunday.
