Two traditional title holders, Dr. Suleiman Shuaibu and Dr. Tijani Usman Danfodio have pulled out of Shinkafi emirate council following the turbarning of the former minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode by the Emir of Shinkafi, Alhaji Mohammed Makwashe Isah.

According to the two traditional title holders, the Emir did not consult any of the stakeholders in Shinkafi emirate council before giving the traditional title.

The suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has claimed that some of the forfeited assets recovered by the agency, were auctioned to ministries and government agencies.

Senate Attacked For Demanding Service Chiefs’ Sack

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism (CATE) has faulted the Tuesday’s call by the National Assembly for the sack or resignation of the Service Chiefs.

The Senators made the call during plenary on Tuesday in reaction to a motion by Senator Ali Ndume.

Senator Ndume moved his motion as a result of the recent ambush of soldiers in Katsina and the alleged voluntary resignation of many soldiers.

Reacting to the call, President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu said it is only the President that can sack Service Chiefs and no one else.
