Reputed Mob Boss Gunned Down In Canada: Police

A reputed Canadian mob boss was gunned down in broad daylight in the parking lot of a commercial plaza in a suburb of Toronto Friday afternoon, according to local authorities.

Halton Regional Police Service received reports after 1 p.m. Friday about a shooting at 484 Plains Road East in Burlington. Officers who responded to the scene found two victims with gunshot wounds in the parking lot outside the Pro Patio Furniture store.

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd co-founder Jack Ma has cut his stake in the company over the past year to 4.8 per cent from 6.2 per cent, cashing out around 8.2 billion dollars at its current share price.

The firm’s annual filing showed that Jack loses 40 percent of his shares.

This divestment comes as Jack retired as the Chinese e-commerce company’s executive chairman in September and pulled back from formal business roles to focus on philanthropy.

President Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar announced that two lawmakers; one member of the senate and one deputy had died after becoming infected with the coronavirus.

He added that eleven other deputies and 14 senators also tested positive for the virus.
