Delta Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and his wife have tested positive for coronavirus.

He made the announcement Wednesday on Twitter.

“My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication.

“We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter”, he tweeted.

Last week, Okowa announced that his daughter tested positive.

On Tuesday, Ondo Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, announced that he tested positive.

Oil Bunkering: Navy Arrests Five Suspects, Seizes One Vessel

The Nigeria Navy Ship Jubilee (NNS) has arrested five suspects over oil bunkering in Akwa Ibom and seized one vessel ladened with illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).

It added that the vessel, MT PREYOR 1 was seized on May 18 during anti illegal oil patrol along Uta-Ewa Creek.

The Commander of NNS Jubilee, Commodore Majid Ibrahim, revealed this on Tuesday to journalists while handing over the vessel and the suspects to Officials of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ikot Abasi for further investigations and prosecution.

Pensioners in Imo state besieged the Imo State government on Tuesday demanding their full pension arrears and lamenting on the way they were turned back the previous time they were at the Government house.

They also blocked some roads in Owerri, the Imo State capital, in protest against their unpaid pensions and gratuities.

They appealed to Governor Hope Uzodinma to consider the plight and pay them without further delay, just as they cursed those preventing them from receiving their gratuity and pensions.

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state said worship centres in Ekiti State may resume for services from Friday, July 17, while the first phase of school reopening will commence on July 20.

The Ekiti Governor announced this on Tuesday night during a state-wide broadcast.
