US President, Donald Trump has revealed what he has in common with former President, Barack Obama.

The President, in a statement on his official Twitter account, disclosed that the only thing he has in common with Obama is the honour of firing Jim Mattis, the world’s most overrated General.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Wednesday, denied writing a letter extending the tenure of the National Assembly Clerk, Sani Ataba Omolori and other Staff of the National Assembly.

Imo Journalists Stage Protest Against Incessant Attacks By Politicians

Some journalists in Imo state on Wednesday took to the streets of Owerri, the state capital, protesting against incessant attacks on members of the profession by some politicians in the state.

The protest, according to report, was led by Kelechi Ugo who is the weekend editor of EDGE EXPRESS newspapers in Imo state.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), said it will embark on a mass protest to seek justice for Uwaila Omozuwa and Bello Barakat, who were both reported to have been raped and killed by their rapists.

 

Africa Daily News reported that Uwaila, a student of the University of Benin was murdered by her rapists inside a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Benin while she was reading.

A few days after, Bello Barakat, a student of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Oyo State was also reportedly killed in similar circumstance.

His Warrant of Release was signed by Justice Liman and transmitted to prison authorities.

He set aside the trial, conviction and sentence of the former governor to 12 years imprisonment on December 5, 2019.

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, has announced that the construction of Fourth Mainland Bridge will start in the first quarter of 2021.

Secretary of Defense Mark Esper is on shaky ground with the White House after saying Wednesday that he does not support using active duty troops to quell the large-scale protests across the United States triggered by the death of George Floyd and those forces should only be used in a law enforcement role as a last resort.

A GoFundMe fundraiser set up by the brother of the slain Minneapolis African-American, George Floyd, has raised more than seven times its $1.5 million goal.

Snapchat Curbs Trump Posts For Inciting ‘Racial Violence’

Snapchat on Wednesday stopped promoting posts by US President Donald Trump, saying they incite “racial violence.”

“We are not currently promoting the president’s content on Snapchat’s Discover platform,” Snapchat said in response to an AFP inquiry, referencing the youth-focused social network’s section for recommended content.

“We will not amplify voices who incite racial violence and injustice by giving them free promotion on Discover.”
