Borno Residents Flee IDP Camps After Bomb Explosions

Over 32,000 internally displaced persons said to be living in Dalori IDP camp, Borno State, scampered for safety on Sunday following the sound of explosions and sporadic gunshots in the area.

Residents of Dalori, an outskirt community in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital told newsmen that they cannot ascertain whether it was a Boko Haram attack or the military trying to exercise show of force.

Edo 2020: Hope Uzodinma Releases Guidelines For Primary Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo Governorship Primaries Committee, headed by Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo on Sunday released procedures for Monday’s primary election in compliance with the state government’s COVID-19 regulations.

A statement by the Secretary of the committee, Dr Ajibola Basiru said voting would commence simultaneously by 8:00 a.m. in the 192 wards of the state.

It explained that not more than 18 persons would be allowed to gather at the same time from the commencement of voting until the end of the exercise when results would be announced.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu took to his official Facebook page yesterday to shed more light on a bit of the Oduduwa Republic history.

Using an illustrated map for emphasis, he shows how the Oduduwas were given the name ‘Yarriba’ which was a derogatory word for someone who is dubious and cunning in his dealings and how they whole-heartedly accepted it without protest.

One of the police officers charged over the death of George Floyd in the US, J. Alexander Kueng has been confronted while shopping for groceries during the weekend. He was one of four people charged after Mr. Floyd’s death.
