Qatar’s third venue for the 2022 World Cup — the Education City Stadium — has been completed.

Dubbed the “Diamond in the Desert,” the 40,000-seat ground is one of eight stadiums to be used in the competition.

The stadium features a triangular-design with complex, diamond-like patterns and, as the sun moves across the sky, the façade will appear to change color.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, on Monday rejected U.S. media reports that claimed Russia offered bounties for killing U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.

Peskov said; “These claims are nothing but lies. Reputable and high-quality world media outlets have been increasingly publishing elaborate hoaxes in the last few years.

“This definitely does not speak well for maintaining their reputation and prestige,” he added.

The ruling was a surprising victory for abortion rights advocates from an increasingly conservative court.

The ruling struck down a law passed by Louisiana’s legislature in 2014 that required any doctor offering abortion services to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has declared as fraudulent, the operations of a twitter handle @YusufPhilipYila, purported to belong to the Bank’s Director, Development Finance Department, Philip Yila Yusuf.

On Monday, CBN Director of Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor, said the impostor handle has been posting messages related to the Bank’s N50 billion Targeted Credit Facility (TCF).

He noted that the scammer was doing this with the intent of wooing unsuspecting loan seekers and owners of small-scale businesses.

A federal high court in Abuja has struck out the certificate forgery lawsuit against Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki.

The plaintiffs identified as Edobor Williams, Ugbesia Abudu Godwin and Amedu Dauda Anakhu, had accused Obaseki of forging his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) certificate in Classical Studies from the University of Ibadan.
