Since 1999, every administration had always tried to improve the lots of Nigeria, except Buhari’s administration. Not only that he toppled a democratically elected government as a military dictator, he has gone ahead to rubbish all the tenets of democracy in his second coming.

Lagos State Government has sealed more buildings on Banana Island, Ikoyi, over lack of building permits.

The state Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development on Friday said it sealed 19 more buildings.

It said in a statement that the exercise was in continuation of the government’s ongoing effort at regulating physical development in the state.

Some workers of Atlantic Hotels have accused the management of sacking a female worker, Grace (Not real name), after she was sexually harassed by one Sanjiv Raut, a cooking staff and an Indian national.

A bomb blast has killed 4 persons, including a mullah, in a Kabul mosque in Afghanistan.

The bomb exploded before the start of Friday prayers.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior Affairs, Tariq Arian, said eight more persons were wounded in the blast,

The Ministry said it was yet another crime against the sacred places of Afghan people.

Brazil on Friday claimed the unenviable position of having the second-highest coronavirus death toll in the world behind the United States, where there is a resurgence of cases.

As at 23:00 GMT on Friday, Brazil has logged 41,901 deaths, more than Britain’s 41,481 deaths.

Brazil also appears to be racing to the one million mark in confirmed cases as it already hit 829,902 cases.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the party will readily admit the embattled Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, into its fold if the governor decides to join the main opposition party.

The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, disclosed this in a telephone chat with our correspondent on the telephone on Friday.

Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has been cleared of alleged forgery of his NYSC exemption certificate.

INEC lawyer, Ibrahim Bawa (SAN), stated this before the state’s Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting Abuja.

Vijah Opuama, who contested the November 16, 2019 governorship election had asked the tribunal to disqualify Ewhrujakpo for forgery of a National Youth Service Corps exemption certificate.

He also urged the tribunal to cancel the November 16, 2019 governorship election and order a fresh poll.

Opuama closed his case on June 9.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, ineligible to contest in the July 22 governorship primary election in Edo State.
