B-Haram Preached To Us Before Massacring 80 – Borno Survivor

One of the persons who witnessed the attack on Faduma Kolomdi village in Gubio local government area of Borno state on Tuesday has narrated how the insurgents deceived villagers before they struck.

Africa Daily News had reported how over 70 people were killed in the attack.

The survivor, who spoke when Babagana Zulum, governor of the state, visited the village on Wednesday, said 81 residents were killed, 13 persons injured and seven others, including village head, were abducted.

“The insurgents in gun trucks and armored tanks, came around 10am. They operated for about six hours and left around 4pm,”

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has claimed he might not get justice, after he was screened by a committee set up by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to vet aspirants contesting the party’s ticket ahead of the governorship election.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the massacre of Nigerians in Faduma village of Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State in the northeast Nigeria by suspected Boko Haram.

Africa Daily News reported that residents living in Faduma Kolomdi, a nomadic village located 35 kilometres in the north of Gubio, the headquarters of Gubio Local Government Area were attacked by insurgents.

A survivor told Governor Zulum of Borno State during his condolence visit that 81 residents were killed during the attack on Tuesday with 13 persons injured and seven others, including village head were abducted.

Zoom Suspends U.S-Based Activists’ Account

Zoom Video Communications temporarily shut the account belonging to a group of U.S.-based Chinese activists.

This comes after they held an event to commemorate the 31st anniversary of China’s Tiananmen Square crackdown, the activists said on Thursday.

Humanitarian China said the event they held on May 31 was hosted by a paid account and was joined by over 250 people worldwide via video-conferencing platform Zoom, while more than 4,000 streamed it on social media, many of whom were from China.

The account was shut on June 7, a statement said.
