Chelsea Set To Sign Leipzig Striker Timo Werner

Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle to sign Germany striker Timo Werner from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, Sky Sports said on Thursday.

He would be the second signing of the London Club as they already agreed a deal to sign Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech.

The report added that Werner has a 55 million euro ($62.45 million) release clause which expires on June 15.

Chelsea reportedly had offered the 24-year-old a contract worth 200,000 pounds per week.

Werner is second-top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with 25 goals.

Petrol Price To Be Determined By Market Forces: PPPRA

Henceforth the price of petrol in Nigeria, will be determined by market forces, the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) said.

The agency said it has removed the cap on the price of the product also known as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

The agency made the disclosure in a document it released in Abuja on Thursday entitled, ‘’Market Based Pricing Regime for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) Regulations, 2020’’.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s nomination for the position of director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

This was confirmed by one of Buhari’s media aides, Bashir Ahmaad, on Twitter on Thursday night.
