George Floyd: Second Day Of Protest In Minneapolis

Protests against the police continued for the second day in Minneapolis, Minnesota over the killing of George Floyd.

Once again, like on Tuesday night, police and the demonstrators clashed.

The Police used chemical agents to attempt to deter the crowd, as the protest degenerated into looting.

Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO has doubled down on why the company fact-checked President Donald Trump’s tweets on mail-in-ballots.

He also responded to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s comment that Twitter should not be “an arbiter of truth”.

Dorsey rejected Zuckerberg’s tag, and explained Twitter’s position, citing the company’s Civic Integrity Policy.

Twitter, he said, will continue to flag incorrect tweets, such as Trump’s.

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has blamed the deadly Coronavirus pandemic for the delay in delivering a 3-phase housing project his administration embarked on.

On Tuesday, Abiodun said his administration was nearing completion of a 250-unit Prince Court Estate project at Kemta Idi-Aba in Abeokuta.

“In the 1st Phase of the Project, we will be delivering 150 units at discounted rates to State workers,” he said.

Premier League clubs voted unanimously on Wednesday to resume contact training as the English top-flight took a significant step towards a possible restart in June.
