Lagos Set To Hit 1,000 Coronavirus Infections

Lagos is set to hit 1,000 Coronavirus infections at the end of Friday (today) if it ramps up at least 24 new cases.

On Thursday, Lagos recorded 45 new cases, which represents a drop from the 87 highest cases recorded on Wednesday.

It currently has 976 confirmed coronavirus infections, according to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

Nigerians have reacted to the surge in coronavirus cases in Kano state, as the state for the first time recorded more cases than Lagos.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday night confirmed 80 new cases for the state, its largest for a single day.
