Kaduna Massacre: Resign IGP Over Killing Of Christians

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has charged the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu to resign immediately, following incessant killings of Christians in Southern Kaduna.

HURIWA, a frontline activist group, said IGP Adamu should either “resign or be sacked” over his failure to protect the mostly Christian community of Southern Kaduna against armed Fulani attackers.

The group made the call while condemning the latest Fulani herdsmen attack in the farming community of Gonar Rogo in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

₦40bn: Lawan Inaugurates Senate Committee To Probe NDDC

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan said on Tuesday that the investigation being carried out by the Senate into the finances of the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC) is to complement the ongoing forensic audit which was ordered by the Federal government.

Lawan stated this while inaugurating a seven-man ad-hoc committee on alleged financial recklessness in the NDDC.

“We are in total support of the President’s directive for the forensic audit of the finances of the NDDC, and this is, in some way, complementary to that directive,” he said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, has tested positive for coronavirus.

He personally made the announcement on Tuesday.

“I am receiving treatment,” State news agency TASS quoted him as saying.

The 52-year-old explained that the last time he met with Putin was one month ago.

The police authorities in Ghana have arrested a prostitute and her colleagues after she allegedly pushed a man with a condom on, from her room window during an argument.

Eleven sex workers were arrested by Asokwa District Police Command in connection with the death at Asafo in the Kumasi metropolis of the Ashanti Region.

Princewill Osarojiji, owner of one of the hotels demolished by the Governor of Rivers State on Sunday has been expelled by the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Osarojiji is the Youth Leader of the party for Eleme Local Government Area.

Recall that Wike had also declared Osarojiji of Eleme Alode Ward 2 wanted with N5 million bounty placed on his head.

Two Chinese men, Mr. Meng Wei Kun and Mr. Xu Koi, have been arrested by the Sokoto Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for offering ₦50million as bribe to its Zonal Head, Mr. Abdullahi Lawal.

The ₦50million was the first installment of the N100million offer.
