U.S: Pastor Defies Government Order, Tears Letter Banning Gatherings

A pastor in Baltimore, Maryland, tore a ‘cease and desist letter’ in front of his congregation on Wednesday, after he was ordered by local officials to stop hosting in-person services during coronavirus lockdowns.

The Maryland Governor, Larry Hogan had announced on Friday that places of worship could reopen at 50 percent capacity.

However, a service officiated by the Calvary Baptist Church Pastor, Stacey Shiflett was attended by hundreds of the church members.

“Countdown To Your Destruction Has Begun” – Hackers Attack Israel

More than a dozen websites were attacked on Thursday by anti-Israel hackers.

They posted a video about the destruction of Israel, replacing the affected sites’ normal content.

According to DPA, Israeli media reported that the hacked sites were showing a video with the message: “The countdown of Israel destruction has begun since a long time ago”.

The message, written in Hebrew and English, was accompanied by images of what appeared to be a destroyed Tel Aviv.

Israeli web company, UPress in a statement, said the deliberate attack targeted multiple sites it was hosting.

The Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has disclosed that the Federal Government is already making plans to reopen schools nationwide but it won’t happen in two weeks as being speculated in some quarters.

The Defence Headquarters has revealed that pirates seized a Chinese vessel and sailed it down to Nigeria.

The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, stated this at a news conference on Thursday in Abuja.

Forty-three people died and 32 others were injured in a highway accident in Sudan’s Darfur region after a passenger truck collided head-on with another vehicle.

The police said the crash took place late Thursday in the town of Shangil Tobayi in North Darfur province.
