Obasanjo Joins World Leaders To Demand For Vaccine

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has joined about 140 current and ex-presidents across the world in calling for “a people’s vaccine” against COVID-19.

The call is contained in a petition they signed on Thursday in which they urged all governments to push for a free COVID-19 vaccine for all when developed.

The petition was initiated by the Joint UN Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS), the United Nations agency dedicated to eradicating the HIV/AIDS virus.

The federal government has warned Nigerians to stop consuming just anything because of coronavirus.

The government lamented that some people were heard suggesting that bleach could cure the disease.

The Namibian government has banned government officials from buying new cars till 2025, a decision taken to curtail the effect of the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.

Namibian President, Hage G .Geingob, who made the announcement on Twitter on Thursday also directed a curb on monthly fuel consumption by public office holders.

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director-General, Roberto Azevedo, has announced that he would step down from his position.
