Poland’s election day Sunday will be one for the history books as polling stations remain closed and turnout will clock in at zero due to a political crisis set off by the coronavirus pandemic.

The EU member of 38 million people has found itself in the bizarre “Twilight Zone” predicament in which the presidential ballot is formally neither postponed nor cancelled, because the government and opposition were unable to agree on a constitutional and safe solution.

Lagos State Government has shut down two facilities in the Badagry West Local Council Development Area of Lagos State for contravening new guidelines issued by the government to operators of hotels, clubs, and other entertainment outfits in the State.

This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Solomon Bonu while speaking newsmen.

The facilities are Maggi Hotel and Tambari Theatre Art(Night Club) both in Seme axis of Badagry.

19 Sailors Killed As Iran Mistakenly Bombs Own Ship

Iran bombed its own ship during a training exercise in the Gulf of Oman on Sunday.

A fired missile struck a support vessel near its target.

No fewer than 19 Iranian sailors were killed and 15 injured.

Iran’s state media, IRNA, gave the update on Monday after it earlier claimed that only one sailor died.

Twelve badly wounded sailors were taken to a local hospital which also treated another three with slight wounds.

Oil prices opened about 1% lower on Monday in Asia as a persistent glut continued to weigh on prices and the coronavirus pandemic eroded global oil demand even as some governments began to ease lockdowns.

Brent crude was down 29 cents, or 0.9%, at $30.68 a barrel, while U.S. oil fell 26 cents, or 1.1%, to $24.48 a barrel.
