Deutsche Bank Denies U.S. Senators Info On Trump Accounts

Deutsche Bank has rebuffed a request by prominent U.S. senators to provide information about its recent business dealings with U.S. President Donald Trump and his family.

Four Democratic senators, led by Elizabeth Warren, earlier this month demanded details from Deutsche Bank Chief Executive Christian Sewing about the bank’s interaction this year with Trump and his family’s companies. (here)

The bank is one of the largest creditors for Trump’s hotels, golf courses and other properties, according to filings.

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has appointed Osaze Ethan Uzamere as his Chief of Staff.

He replaces the former Chief of Staff, Taiwo Akerele, who resigned from Obaseki’s kitchen cabinet on Friday.

The 38-year-old investment banker is son of Senator Ehigie Uzamere, who represented Edo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly between 2007 and 2011.

He graduated from Stony Brook University, New York, where he majored in Computer and Electrical Engineering.

Respite has come the way of Lagos, as the state recorded sharp drop in Coronavirus infections on Saturday, with 33 new cases.

In the figures released by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Nigeria recorded 87 new cases, with Lagos taking the lion share of 33.

On Friday, the state ramps up its highest coronavirus infection figures since the pandemic started, which stood at 80.

Between April 20 and 25, Lagos has consistently experienced increase in infections, ramping up 291 cases.
