If only every time we were updated on the daily death toll from coronavirus, we could also be told the number of babies being born – wouldn’t that make this ghastly situation a little more hopeful?

US FDA Announces New Kit For COVID-19 Home Test

The US Food and Drug Administration, on Friday said that people might soon be able to perform their own test swabs for COVID-19 at home with a newly designed Q-tip-style swab.

CNN reports that the FDA said it had worked with US Cotton to design the swabs, which are shorter than the swabs used by technicians, doctors or nurses to collect samples to test people for COVID-19 infection.

According to the FDA, the new swab is shorter and can collect a sample from the front of the nose.

Dickson Etuhu Banned From Football Over Match-Fixing

Nigeria’s ex-international, Dickson Etuhu has been banned from football in Sweden for five years over match-fixing.

Etuhu, who had played Manchester City, Preston, Sunderland and Fulham, was banned after being found guilty.

Leeds United, in a statement on its website said they are devastated to learn of the passing of club icon Norman Hunter at the age of 76.
