Russia Defends WHO Against Trump’s Criticism

Russia has defended the World Health Organisation (WHO) against recent criticism by U.S. President Donald Trump, arguing that the UN body is contributing significantly to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Last week, Trump said the WHO “really blew” its response to the virus by focusing too much on China and giving the U.S. bad advice at the beginning of the outbreak.

In a tweet, he also said Washington would take a “good look” at its WHO funding.

Notorious kidnapper Shot Dead In Rivers, Guns Recovered

The Rivers State Police Command has killed a suspected kidnapper, Samuel Nakpoo, who was said to be among hoodlums responsible for all criminal activities along Ogoni-Uyo axis of the East West road.

Kidnapper Samuel Nakpoo who had earlier been arrested and confessed to the crime led the officers to their camp in a forest at Ogu/ Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State and attempted to escaped but was shot in the leg.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange secretly fathered two sons while holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

The Mail on Sunday made the shocking revelation today.

It said the mother of the kids, is 37 year-old South African-born lawyer, Stella Morris.

Bangladesh has executed a military captain less than a week after he was arrested after nearly 25 years on the run over the assassination of the country’s founding leader, a minister said Sunday.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, father of current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was killed along with most of his family in a military coup on August 15, 1975,

The assassination occurred , nearly four years after he led Bangladesh to independence from Pakistan.
