Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has declared he doesn’t care what anyone says, willing he has the belief of his team-mates, manager and fans after scoring a brace in Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Derby County in the FA Cup fifth round.

Saudi Arabia Reopens Holy Sites After Disinfection

Saudi Arabia has reopened two of its holy religious sites in Islam after they were closed for sterilization to halt the spread of the new coronavirus.

As reported by the state TV Al-Ekhbariya on Friday, the country closed the Al-Haram mosque in Mecca and Al-Masjid al Nabawy in Medina to foreign pilgrims and traditional tourists from some 25 countries to stop the spread of the virus.

However, It was not clear from the Al-Ekhbariya report if foreign pilgrims would be allowed to return to the sites.

The managements of Facebook Inc and Google have urged their San Francisco Bay area employees to work from home to minimize the risk of spreading Covid-19.

Earlier, Facebook had announced that its Seattle office be shut down after one of its contractors got infected.

Facebook said it is “strongly recommending that all Bay area employees and contingent staff work from home starting Friday.”

An 18th Century ceremonial crown that resurfaced in the Netherlands after being taken from a church more than 20 years ago has returned to the church it came from.

Debre Medhanit Slase Cheleqo is the church in northern Ethiopia that had originally housed it.

It’s believed the crown was given to the church by feudal lord Ras Weldeselassie hundreds of years ago.

Pope Creates New Diocese For Rejected Bishop Of Ahiara

Pope Francis has established the Diocese of Ekwulobia, Anambra State and named Bishop Peter Ebere Okpaleke, the rejected bishop of Ahiara Diocese, Mbaise, as its first Ordinary.

Announcing the appointment Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, Catholic bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor described it as ‘pleasant surprises.’

He explained that the new Diocese was formed from part of the territory of the Diocese of Awka and would be a suffragan See of the Metropolitan See of Onitsha.

The bishop disclosed that the newly created Diocese would cover Akpu, Ekwuluobia and Achina Regions.
