Coronavirus: ‘I Miss My Colleagues’ – Angela Merkel

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says she is missing personal contact with colleagues while working from home during the coronavirus pandemic.

Angela Merkel, 65, has been in self-isolation since Sunday after coming into contact with a person who later tested positive for Covid-19.

The chancellor said she was “keeping very, very busy,” during a news conference.

She said she spends a lot of time in video conferences and telephone group chats.

“I miss being able to attend cabinet meetings personally,” Merkel said, adding that she missed not being able to see people in person.

Nigeria has confirmed 14 new cases of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic, with the total figures soaring to 65.

The United States overtook China and Italy on Thursday as the world’s worst-hit country by the raging coronavirus pandemic.

The U.S. took the morbid distinction after new 14,336 confirmed cases were added.

The record figure shot the country to the top of the table with 82,547 cases.

Italy, the worst hit country in Europe, has 80, 589 cases.

Another Pipeline Leakage In Lagos Confirmed

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipeline along Ojukwu Str., Navy Town axis of Satellite Town in Lagos is leaking.

This was confirmed on Thursday by the Director-General Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu.

He, however, gave the assurance that technicians from the NNPC have been alerted to the danger and are on top of the situation.

“We received an alert this evening and upon arrival, it was discovered that an NNPC pipeline along the axis at Ojukwu street, Navy Town was leaking.

“We contacted the NNPC who dispatched a repair team to the location.
