FG Okays ₦14bn For Purchase Of Insecticides, Animal Drugs

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved 13.9billion for the purchase of insecticides in states affected by quelea birds.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono, disclosed this on Wednesday when he addressed State House correspondents.

He spoke after the council meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The minister explained that the money also covers the purchase of drugs for the treatment of animal diseases like rabies.

Floyd Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, has been found dead in her home in California, TMZ reports.

The 40-year-old had three children with Mayweather.

Harris was found unresponsive inside her car outside the house and declared dead on the spot.

Investigators however don’t suspect any foul play.

The trial of the former Chairperson of the Kwara State Scholarship Board, Hajia Fatimah Yusuf and two others continued Wednesday with the second prosecution witness revealing how officials of the board forged signatures of 326 students to steal bursary funds.

The two others included the Executive Secretary, Fatai Lamidi and the Accountant, Stephen Ajewole.

The Ilorin Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had on January 15, 2020, arraigned the three officials of the board on a seven count charge over their involvement in bursary fraud to the tune of N50m.
