The remains of late Justice of Appeal Court, Justice Tom Yakubu have been laid to rest in his country home, Enjema, Ankpa Local Government Area.

Justice Yakubu, who hailed from Igala, Kogi State, slumped and died on December 24, 2019.

Barrister Olusegun Bamgbose has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately order the arrest and prosecution of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole over his outburst shortly after the Supreme Court’s ruling that sacked David Lyon as Bayelsa State governor-elect.

Africa Daily News reported on Thursday that a five-man panel of the Supreme Court held that Lyon’s deputy, Degi-Eremieoyo presented a forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has stated that national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole is not in the good books of the party’s leaders and governors.

Xiaomi Becomes China’s Top TV Brand

Chinese electronics company,  Xiaomi Corporation, became the number one brand of TV sets in terms of annual output in the world’s second-largest economy last year.

The company’s official site, microblog, says shipments of Xiaomi TV sets reached a record 10.46 million, adding that its sales also topped the country.

According to data from China Market Monitor Co., Xiaomi’s market share reached 19.25 percent in 2019.

9 Drug Addicts Killed In Overnight Shooting

Nine drug addicts have been killed in an overnight shooting in a non-residential area in western side of Kabul, Afghanistan.

Ferdaus Faramarz from Kabul police told Xinhua on Sunday that “The shooting occurred at side of Qurugh Mountain in Police District 6 roughly at 8:00 p.m. Saturday. Personnel of Kabul Criminal Investigation Police Department shifted the bodies to Forensic Science Department near Kabul University shortly after the shooting was reported,”

One arrest is said to have been made, while motive behind the incident remained unclear as at press time.
