Washington, DC — U.S. Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo will travel to Germany, Senegal, Angola, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and Oman from February 13-22, 2020.

On Friday, February 14, Secretary Pompeo will arrive in Munich, Germany where he will lead the U.S. delegation to the Munich Security Conference.  While in Munich, the Secretary will deliver remarks to the Conference and meet with his counterparts and key leaders to discuss security priorities.

North Launches Own Security Outfit ‘Shege-Ka-Fasa’

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) on Wednesday unveiled northern Nigeria security outfit code-named ‘Operation Shege-Ka-Fasa’ which literally means “I dare you to attack or surrender” in Hausa.

It is believed to be a Northern version of the South-West regional security initiative ‘Operation Amotekun’ (Leopard).

Atiku Hits Back At Buhari’s Comment On Boko Haram Victims

Former vice-president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has said religious affiliations should not be raised, when Boko Haram killings are discussed.

Atiku stated this in reaction to President Muhammadu Buhari’s remarks, that 90% of Boko Haram victims are Muslims.

Uzodinma Gives 72 Hours Ultimatum To Road Contractors

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has given contractors handling some road projects in the state, an ultimatum to return to site.

The governor in a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachukwu, ordered the contractors to return to work in the next 72 hours.

Uzodinma lamented that the road contractors absconded from site during the dry season when they were supposed to be busy fixing the roads.
