Coronavirus: 2020 Spring Festival Unforgettable – China

The Government of the People’s Republic of China says the 2020 Chinese Spring Festival remains unforgettable as a result of the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus.

The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Nigeria, Dr Zhou Pingjian, while briefing reporters in Abuja, said all that is needed in the prevailing circumstances is solidarity.

FG To ASUU: No Going Back On IPPIS Implementation

Federal Government has insisted that there is no going back on the implementation of Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) in the public service.

This is coming on the heels of the Academic Staff Union of Universities  (ASUU) insistence to embark on strike despite government’s backing down on its earlier decision to pay January salary via IPPIS platform.

The Office of the Account-General of the Federation had asked the finance minister not to release funds meant for January salaries to members of the academic community, saying payments would be made through the IPPIS platform.

Chairman of Committee on Transportation in Ogun State, Olufemi Adeniyi, has said the state will allow commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as ‘Okada’ banned in Lagos State, to operate in Ogun.

The Federal Government, the United States of America (USA) and the Island of Jersey on Monday signed a tripartite agreement on the return of $318,460,329 looted by late former military Head of State, General Sani Abacha.
