Breaking: Customs Seize $8m At Lagos Airport (Photos)

The Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA)  Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted $8,065,615 at the airport.

A driver working with Nigerian Aviation Handling Company, NAHCO, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport has been arrested by men of Murtala Mohammed International Airport Command over the sum of $8,065,615 loaded into a vehicle he was driving.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Tuesday, Mr. Hameed Ali, the customs comptroller-general, said the cash was intercepted while it was about to be loaded into an aircraft from the vehicle.

Buhari Presents Nigeria’s Visa Policy 2020 (Photos)

President Muhammadu Buhari has officially presented to the public the Nigeria Visa Policy (NVP) for the year 2020.

He presented the document at the State House in Abuja, on Tuesday. The document is a revised version.

THISDAY Suspends 2 Deputy Editors Over Report On Oyedepo

The management of THISDAY Newspapers Limited has suspended two of its deputy editors, Mr. Yemi Ajayi and Mr. Olawale Olaleye, over the story: “Drama as US Embassy Denies Bishop Oyedepo Visa,” published last Friday.

The story, which claimed that Bishop Oyedepo was denied visa by the US Embassy, was subsequently refuted by the embassy to be false.

Buhari To Embark On A 20-day Vacation Trip To The UK

President Muhammadu Buhari will depart Abuja Wednesday on a 20-day vacation trip to UK, The Presidency said on Tuesday.

The President is expected to leave Nigeria on Wednesday after which he will depart to the UK after the 20-day vacation for Riyadh the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the third Summit meeting.

Former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has been named the next Angelopoulos Global Public Leaders Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School.
