China Speaks On ‘Visa Ban To Nigerians”

The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria said on Tuesday that it had not stopped the issuance of visas to Nigerians.

The Press Officer, Mr Sun Sai Xiong, made the clarification in an interview with NAN.

The official further noted that the Embassy had “not suspended its operation”.

He restated the Chinese government’s commitment to safeguarding the lives of Nigerians and other nationals living in that country in the face of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

Court Issues Arrest Warrant For Ex-President, Jacob Zuma

A court in South Africa has issued an arrest warrant for former president, Jacob Zuma.

The judge, Dhaya Pillay, ordered his arrest ahead of the corruption trial which resumes on May 6.

Zuma had failed to appear in court on grounds of needing medical treatment.

During the court session on Tuesday, Zuma’s lawyer, Dan Mantsha, presented the judge with a sick note from “a military hospital”.

Mantsha claimed that his client was abroad for medical treatment, without saying where.

But the judge refused to accept and said there was no medical number showing if and where the doctor was certified.

Goodluck Jonathan Meets Obasanjo In Seoul

Former Nigerian Presidents, Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday met at the World Summit 2020, holding at Seoul, South Korea.

Speaking after his meeting with Obasanjo, Jonathan said he was in Seoul to join the discussion on how to maintain world peace.

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally reacted to the beheading of the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Adamawa State, Lawan Andimi.

DAILY POST reported that Andimi, who was the Chairman of CAN, in Adamawa State was beheaded by Boko Haram a few weeks ago.
