The Labour Party in Ogun State has accused the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, of being “a major component of the engine growing and sustaining national insecurity.”

The party was reacting to a recent call by Abaribe that President Muhammadu Buhari should resign his position as result of the rising cases of insecurity in the nation.

In an exclusive interview with DAILY POST in Abeokuta on Sunday, the Chairman of the Labour Party in Ogun State, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi, said “Abaribe is a widely acknowledged integral pillar of the very many conspiracies that are flying.”

Nigerian Army Rewards 37 Officers, Soldiers For Gallantry

The Nigerian Army has rewarded 37 officers and soldiers of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD) in recognition of their gallantry in the ongoing counter insurgency campaign in the North-east.

The Nigerian Army Operations Media Coordinator, Col. Aminu Iliyasu, made the disclosure in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja.

Iliyasu disclosed that 37 officers and soldiers were identified by the military authorities in its periodic assessment of the conduct of troops under the OPLD.

NAMA To Withdraw Service To Airlines Over ₦5bn Debt

Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has given a 30-day final ultimatum to debtor airlines and private/state-owned airports to settle all outstanding debts owed it or it would withdraw its services to them.

The agency, which provides critical services to airlines and airports, said the debts owed it by these organisations is over N5 billion.

If the agency carries out its threat, flights operated by indebted airlines would not be given start up, which means they would suspend operation and if NAMA withdraws its services from the indebted privately owned airports, they would automatically stop operations.

Bandits Kill Seminarian After Three Weeks In Captivity

One of the four students of the Catholic Good Shepherd Major Seminary, Kaduna, kidnapped  by gunmen about three weeks ago, has been killed by his abductors.

The four students were abducted on January 9, when the bandits invaded the school, located at Kakau, on the dreaded Kaduna-Abuja road, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
