Kanu Suggests Alternative To January AFCON Schedule

Nigeria legend Nwankwo Kanu has suggested a drastic solution to the Confederation of African Football’s scheduling problem around the Africa Cup of Nations.

Amotekun Must Fight Ritual Killings, Corruptions

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, has revealed an important role the newly established security outfit in the South West, Amotekun, must play.

The monarch said the South West governors must ensure that Amotekun is also made to fight ritual killings and “traditional corruptions” in the region.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Saturday, cautioned the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, to “steer clear” of its internal affairs and concentrate on his legislative duties.

PDP issued the warning in reaction to Gbajabiamila’s reported interference in choosing a leader for its caucus in the House of Representatives.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Saturday visited President of the Living Faith World Outreach Centre, Bishop David Oyedepo.

US Visa Ban: Nigerians Paying For Past Sins Of PDP – BMO

The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has carpeted former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, for not knowing the difference between a visa ban and a visa restriction.

BMO said that Nigerians are only restricted from immigration visa and that other visa categories are still available to Nigerians who qualify for them.

Kano Governor, Umar Ganduje, on Friday, said results of the recent re-run elections in the state had proven that his predecessor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, had been retired from politics.

Abbas Says Palestinians Cutting All Ties With Israel, US

Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas announced Saturday a cut of all ties with Israel and the United States, including security cooperation, after Washington unveiled a controversial Middle East plan seen as favouring Israel.
