Canada Finally Reveals Who Shot Down Plane, Killing 176

Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has revealed that it was actually Iran’s missile that shot down the Ukrainian airliner with 176 passengers on board

He said that evidence indicates an Iranian missile downed the jetliner on Wednesday, adding that the strike “may have been unintentional”.

According to the Prime Minister, Canadian and allied intelligence carried out the investigation.

He said it appeared it was a surface-to-air missile that struck the plane.

“We have intelligence from multiple sources, including our allies and our own intelligence. The evidence indicates that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile,” Trudeau told

Israel Bombs Iranian Interests

An Israeli airstrike on eastern Syria has killed more than eight fighters from Iraq’s Iran-backed Hashed al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Force – PMF).

A US drone strike also killed Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the PMF head, last week.

Israel launched the attack on areas considered Iranian interests Friday morning.

EFCC Told To Release Shehu Sani

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately release former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani.

THISDAY reports that Operatives of EFCC on Thursday reportedly invaded the Abuja residence of Senator Shehu Sani over alleged extortion.

It was gathered that the EFCC officials stormed the apartment in Wuse, Abuja at about 3:30pm on Wednesday to look for incriminating evidence against the former Kaduna senator.

The Kano State Government has resolved to punish Local Government Areas in the state who perform poorly in polio immunisation exercises.

The State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said his administration will also reward best performing LGAs and those who excel in the polio immunisation drive.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday explained his decision to order the drone strike that killed Iranian General, Qassem Soleimani.

He stated that the head of Iran’s Quds Force was planning an attack on the U.S. embassy in Iraq.

Iran Reveals How Ukrainian Airliner With 176 Crashed

The Iranian Civil Aviation Organisation, has revealed how the Ukrainian air plane with 176 passengers on board crashed.

It said the crew refused to call for help during the crisis.

Investigations are ongoing to unveil the reason behind the tragic incident and the Aviation Organisation has claimed that witnesses, including the crew of another passing flight saw the plane engulfed in flames before crashing, according Al Jazeera.

Members of the lower legislative chamber in the US on Thursday approved a nonbinding resolution aimed at restraining President Donald Trump from taking military action against Iran.

The House of Representatives voted against Trump’s ability to attack Iran in the future without congressional approval.

The House reached the resolution following wide criticism over Trump’s decision to order the killing of Iranian military leader Qassem Soleimani in Iraq.

Before ordering Soleimani’s killing, the Congress was not consulted by the Presidency.

President Muhammau Buhari has approved the reconstitution of the board of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

Ademola Seriki is now the board Chairman with effect from January 7.

Seriki, a Lagos indigene, served as Minister of State for Interior under the Jonathan administration.
