Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has said the crisis within the party has not stopped its victories in some elections recently conducted.

Oshiomhole said he wouldn’t mind the continuation of crisis in APC if it would lead to electoral victories for the party in future elections.

The APC Chairman stated this while hosting Kano State chapter of the party led by the state Governor, Umar Ganduje in Abuja.

Teenager Confirms Raping His 70-Year-Old Grandmother

The Plateau State Police Command on Friday confirmed the arrest of an 18-year-old man, Marvellous Luka, who allegedly raped his 70-year-old grandmother.

The police officer in charge of the case, Insp. Mulleng Alex, said that Luka, lives in Dangu-gu Village, Ampang West District of Mangu, Plateau.

According to Alex, the suspect has been charged and would soon appear before the High Court in Pankshin, Plateau for trial.

The police alleged that the suspect in his ”confessional” statement, said that he attacked his grandmother in her room while sleeping.

Among other things, the Federal Government is working towards the production of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an alternative fuel to the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) petrol this year.

Electricity Consumers To Pay More As Discos Hike Tariffs

Electricity consumers in Nigeria, who are still battling with estimated billing and insufficient power supply, will pay more tariff and cost on meters beginning from this week.

Electricity Distribution companies (DisCos) have, according to checks by New Telegraph , slated February 1 to begin the implementation of 2.5 per cent increase, which had raised Value Added Tax (VAT) on meters to 7.5 per cent.

VAT on tariffs have also been adjusted to accommodate the new 7.5 per cent rate, and service charges on installment meter payments through Meter Assets Provider (MAP) will be reviewed to accommodate the new VAT charge.…

The Us Embassy Nigeria has put out a disclaimer on news making around that the Embassy denied entry visa to the General Oversea of Faith Tabernacle, aka Winners International Church Bishop David Oyedepo.

 

It has been reported earlier that the preacher and entrepreneurs caused drama at the Embassy after being denied visa renewal by the Embassy. This the Embassy has come to deny. Releasing a statement on its Facebook account it says “#FalseNews Alert! Be advised, the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Bishop Oyedepo are false.
