Boeing Reports First Annual Loss Since 1997

The Boeing Company has reported its first annual loss in more than two decades as the grounding of the 737 MAX dragged down its revenues and added to its costs. The American-owned company reported a $1 billion loss in the fourth quarter and a $636 million loss for all of 2019, in the company’s first annual loss since 1997.

The MAX has been grounded since March following two fatal crashes. Boeing estimated additional costs of $9.2 billion connected to the grounding to compensate to customers and account for the impact of lower production levels on expenses.

Maiduguri the capital Bornu state has been hit again by suicide bomber New Telegraph reports. According to report on its website it report that their is an indication that five people have been killed and numerous others injured as two suicide bombers attacked. Weapons Used By Herdsmen Linked To Nigerian Sec. Agencies

Some of the weapons used in the conflicts between farmers and herders in the country have been traced to Nigerian security agencies, according to a report by Conflict Armament Research (CAR).

The international conflict research group said some of the weapons were traced to “stockpiles of Nigerian defence and security forces”.

NECO Invites DSS To Join Fight Against Exam Malpractice

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has sought for collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS) to check malpractice in the conduct of the Council’s examination.

Chairman, Governing Board of NECO, Dr. Abubakar Saddique who led the Acting Registrar and other management teams on a visit to the Director-General of DSS in Abuja, said such collaboration would ensure the credibility of the Council’s examination.
