Britain Summons Iranian Ambassador Over Arrest Of UK Unvoy

Following the arrest of its ambassador to Tehran, Britain has summoned the Iranian ambassador to the United Kingdom.

The UK wants to pass its strong objections to the brief arrest of its envoy to Tehran, Robert Macaire on Saturday.

This was disclosed by a spokesman for Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.

“This was an unacceptable breach of the Vienna Convention and it needs to be investigated,” the spokesman said on Monday, according to Newsnow.

Maina: Court Takes Major Decision In Trial

Justice Okon Abang of an Abuja Federal High Court on Monday, overruled Abdulrasheed Maina’s plea to reject documented evidence presented against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Justice Abang, said that the defendant was not in a position to determine before the court which document was relevant to the case of the prosecution.

Crash: Five Countries Meet To Decide Action Against Iran

Five nations whose citizens were on board the Ukrainian international airliner shot down by Iran will meet in London on Thursday.

The meeting is to discuss possible legal action.

This was disclosed by Ukraine’s foreign minister, Vadym Prystaiko, who spoke to Reuters news agency on Monday.

Prystaiko said the countries would also discuss compensation and the investigation into the incident.

Recruitment: Customs Releases Shortlisted Candidates

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has disclosed that 162,399 applicants have been shortlisted for its aptitude test.

NCS stated that those shortlisted were among the 828,333 that applied for various positions in 2019.
