Buhari, ASUU Meet In Aso Rock Amid IPPIS Controversy

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

The meeting was held behind closed-doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Disclosing this in a tweet, Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi wrote: “ASUU meeting with the President this afternoon. Ministers of Education and Finance in attendance. #AsoVillaToday.”

Former Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, says the All Progressives Congress, APC, may find it difficult to win the 2023 presidential election without President Muhammadu Buhari.

President Muhammadu Buhari has mocked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over its “terminal decline and future in national politics.”

A statement on Thursday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, said Nigerians were surprised reading a statement issued by them assuming the role of presidential image maker.

The Deputy Minority of the House of Representatives, Toby Okechukwu has raised the alarm on the recently announced increment in electricity tariffs.
