Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will miss the derby match against Espanyol on Saturday through injury and is unlikely to play in next week’s Spanish Super Cup.

US Unveils Partial Ban On Flavored e-Cigarettes

The US government announced Thursday it was banning most flavored e-cigarettes in a bid to curb the rising tide of youth vaping, but under industry pressure it stopped short of the full ban promised in September by the White House.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said cartridge-based e-cigarettes in flavors other than tobacco or menthol would be illegal unless specifically authorized by the government.

David Mark: Ex-Senate President’s House Razed By Fire

A section of the residence of former Senate President, David Mark, in Otukpo town, Benue State, was on Thursday gutted by fire.

THISDAY gathered that the fire razed down the storehouse where motorcycles meant for empowerment of his constituents were kept.

Over 13 motorcycles and two ambulances belonging to the ex-lawmaker were destroyed.

UNILAG: How Fake Lecturer Collected ₦250,000 For Admission

The police in Lagos on Friday arraigned a 39-year-old fake lecturer, Isaac Obi, in an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Obi is charged with three counts of false pretence, fraud and stealing, NAN reports.

The prosecutor, Insp. Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Nov. 1, 2019 in Lagos.

He alleged that the defendant presented himself as lecturer from the University of Lagos to one Lucky Ikeduba.

The prosecution also alleged that the accused lied to Ikeduba that he can secure admission into the university.
