Boateng Wants Flick As Permanent Bayern Boss

Veteran Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng said on Tuesday he would like interim coach Hansi Flick to be appointed on a full-time basis.

Flick, 54, took over at the Allianz Arena in November after Niko Kovac was sacked and club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said he would wait until the winter break to make a decision.

“I believe each one of us would be happy to continue with Hansi,” the 2014 World Cup winner told Munich newspaper Abendzeitung.

A human rights lawyer, Barrister Kanmi Ajibola has petitioned the United Nations (UN) over the alleged persistent disobedience to court orders by President MuhammaduBuhari’s government.

Not Even One Unizik Lecturer Enrolled For IPPIS, Says ASUU

The Nnamdi Azikiwe University Branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU says not even a member of the Union from the University enrolled in the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System, IPPIS.

A former chairman of ASUU in the university, Prof Dennis Aribodor told DAILY POST in a private chat that the insinuation that some members had sneaked out to enroll may be true in other universities, but not in Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

NDLEA Arrests Suspected Killer Of Officials

The Ondo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a notorious drug merchant in the state over his alleged link with the murder of four of its officials.

According to the State Commander of the agency, Haruna Gagara who did not disclose the name of the drug kingpin, the drug merchant allegedly masterminded the killing of four of its men.

NIPOST Reveals How Much FG Has Made From Stamp Duties

The Post Master General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Barrister Bisi Adegbuyi, Monday, said that the Federal Government has raked in over ₦45.8 billion from stamp duties following the reforms introduced by the present administration.

Adegbuyi said there is no conflict between NIPOST and the Federal Inland Revenue Service as well as the States Board of Internal Revenue over the remittances of stamp duties.

20 Dead Pensioners On Bauchi Govt Payroll Uncovered

A committee set up by the Bauchi State Government yesterday said that it had discovered 20 dead pensioners, who are still on the government’s payroll.

Secretary of the committee set up to verify workers and pensioners without Bank Verification Numbers (BVN), Alhaji Ishiaka Tijjani, disclosed this to newsmen in Bauchi.

Tijjani said that the discovery followed the committee’s partial screening of some pensioners residing in Zaki and Katagum Local Government Councils of the state.

Policemen Caught On Camera Extorting Money [VIDEO]

Armed Policemen from Orerokpe Divisional Headquarters have been caught on video camera allegedly extorting money from a Commercial tricycle operator and other motorists at Oha Junction along the Eku/Abraka road in Delta State.

In the video, a policeman was seen demanding for One Hundred Naira.

Reps Ask FG To Subsidize Kidney Treatment

The House of Representatives on Tuesday urged the Federal Government to fully equip kidney dialysis centres in health facilities across the country and subsidize treatments for kidney disease patients.

The House made the call following the adoption of a motion moved by Zannah Usman on Tuesday.

Moving the motion, Usman said that subsidizing the cost of treatment would encourage patients to seek early intervention.
