APGA Has Collapsed-Party Chieftain Blows Hot

Ex-House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) for Bende federal constituency seat of Abia state, Nnamdi Udensi, has declared that the party being chaired by Ozonkpu Victor Oye, has collapsed.

Udensi opined that many party leaders and stakeholders have continued to dump APGA due to the alleged impunity that was perpetrated during the 2018 primaries by Oye and his hirelings.

New Minimum Wage: NLC, TUC Threatens Govt With Strike

The organised Labour in Kwara State has threatened to embark on industrial action if the state government fails to implement the ₦30,000 new minimum wage.

The labour union comprising of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, issued the threat during an emergency meeting held at the Labour House in Ilorin, the state capital, yesterday.

NLC and TUC explained that the state Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed has refused to constitute a minimum wage committee despite efforts to convince him, hence the threat to embark on strike.

Breaking: Court Clears APC To Conduct Congresses In Rivers

The coast is now clear for the All Progressives Congress,APC, to conduct its Ward Local Government and State Congresses in Rivers State.

This is because a High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has struck out the originating summons brought by one Ibrahim Umar and twenty-two others against the APC.

The court also set aside the interim injunction obtained by the claimants on the 14th September, 2019 which stopped the APC from conducting the congresses in Rivers State scheduled for 17th, 18th and 21st of last September.

Supreme Court Makes Final Decision On Gov. Udom Emmanuel

The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Udom Emmanuel as the governor of Akwa Ibom State.

The unanimous judgment of the apex court, delivered by Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammad, dismissed the appeal challenging Emmanuel’s election.

The court described the appeal as lacking in merit.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State has cautioned corps members posted to the state for mandatory 12-month scheme against unnecessary journey during the yuletide, to avert untoward circumstances.

The corps emphasised the need for employers to seek permission from NYSC management before allowing corps members in their employment to travel.

Igbo Groups Bicker Over 2023 Presidency

The  South East for President 2023 (SEFORP2023) and the Pan-Nigeria Presidency of Igbo Extraction Coalition (PANDIEF) are at loggerheads over who should superintend the quest for  President of Igbo extraction in 2023.
