Ize-Iyamu’s Exit: Exodus Imminent In Edo PDP

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Edo State 2016 gubernatorial election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has hinted of imminent mass exodus of party leaders and members from the state chapter of the party to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), where he now belongs. 
He dropped the hint in apparent r‎eaction to the comments of the state chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, who had earlier said that his (Pastor Ize-Iyamu’s) exit from the party would not affect its electoral fortunes in the state.

Boko Haram: Ekhomu Condemn Hiring Of Cameroonian Vigilantes

A security expert, Dr. Ona Ekhomu has condemned the hiring of 150 Cameroonian vigilantes to combat Boko Haram in Borno State. He described the move by the state governor as a huge mistake, which is likely to increase security threats in Nigeria’s North East.

UNN Medical Centre Receives Big Boost

Efforts by University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) to upgrade its medical centre received a big boost following the donation of various equipment worth over N6 million by a medical equipment company, Equator Medics International Limited.

A former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Mohammed Adoke (SAN), has asked the International Criminal Police Organisation (ICPO), commonly referred to as Interpol, to let him go, because authorities in Nigeria are only persecuting him for political reasons.
