Access Bank Wins Most Sustainable Bank At 2019 CBN Awards

Access Bank Plc., was recently acknowledged as the Most Sustainable Bank in Nigeria for the third consecutive time at the 2019 Central Bank of Nigeria Sustainability Awards held at the 2019 Bankers Committee Gala Night in Ogere, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The bank was also awarded first position in other categories such as the ‘Most Sustainable Transaction of the Year in Agriculture’ and the ‘Most Sustainable Transaction of the Year in Oil and Gas’. Additional wins include the ‘Most Sustainable Transaction of the Year in Power’ and the ‘Bank of the Year in Women Economic Empowerment’.

Arik Air Donates To IDP In Benin

Arik Air has donated some relief items to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp, Uhogua, Benin City, Edo State, to enable them to celebrate the Christmas. The airline said the initiative was part of its corporate social responsibility.

Arik Air’s Head of Marketing, Central and West Africa, Andrew Odion and Benin Station Manager, Nwaorgu Obed, were present the Camp with various items ranging from foodstuffs, beverages, cartons of noodles, bedding, treated mosquito net, clothing amongst others.

In-bound Nigerian air travelers returning home to celebrate the yuletide with their loved ones are having difficulty in travelling with their luggage, as foreign airline now imposes outrageous charges on excess luggage and also delay connecting flight time with passengers that have many bags.

‘We’ll Not Abandon You’ – Buhari Assures Burkina Faso

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the government and people of Burkina Faso that Nigeria and the West African sub-region would not abandon them to their fate.

His spoke in reaction to Islamist militants’ killing killed 35 civilians, 31 of them women, in an attack on a military base and a town in Burkina Faso.

Seven soldiers and 80 militants were also killed as the army repelled Tuesday’s attack in Arbinda, in northern Soum province.
