Sani Reacts As Buhari Govt Orders Release Of Sowore, Dasuki

Shehu Sani, former Kaduna Central Senator, has described the immediate order by the Federal Government for the release of former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki and convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, as a “welcome development.’’

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, ordered the release of Dasuki and convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore.

This is coming few weeks after Malami took over the case of Sowore from DSS.

Nigerians Get Warning On Salt Consumption

A Clinical Dietitian, Mr Moses Okolie, on Tuesday, warned the public against the consumption of non-iodised salt to prevent goitre and other throat diseases prevalent in the country.

Okolie, who works in the Chukwemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka that the consumption of non-iodised salt was dangerous to human health.

He said that non-iodised salt caused the blood pressure to rise rapidly in an attempt to move the toxic elements rapidly away from the heart.

Babatunde Gbadamosi, former governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, in Lagos State, has given real reason the federal government ordered the release of former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki and convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore.

2022 World Cup Qualifying Draw: Super Eagles In Top 10 Rows

The Super Eagles are among the 10 top seeded teams for next month’s 2022 World Cup qualifying draw after they finished among the top 10 countries by the latest FIFA Rankings.

Nigeria finished 2019 as the third ranked team in Africa behind Senegal and Tunisia.

Edo CAN intervenes in Oshiomhole, Obaseki feud

The EDO chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), yesterday, intervened  in the disagreement  between the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole and Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Buhari Is Poised To Reposition NDDC –Minister

President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to reorganise the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to ensure it fulfills its mission, Minister of State for Niger/Delta Development, Tayo Alasoadura, said.
