A member of the House of Representatives and owner of Quilox night club, Shina Peller, has revealed that he has resigned from the management of the club since he became a member of the House.

Court Orders Army To Pay ₦50m For Beating Man To Death

The Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State, has awarded ₦60m as damages against the Nigerian Army for the murder of one Otunba Ajayi Oladele.

The Court presided over by Hon. Justice Emeka Nwite, delivered its judgement in a case with Suit No.HHC/WR/CS/93/2017.

The case is between Mrs. Esther Oladele&Ors. V. The Nigerian Army & Ors.

S/Court Upholds El-Rufai’s Election As Kaduna Governor

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the election of Nasir El-Rufai as Governor of Kaduna State.

Recall that the Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna State had in November dismissed an appeal by Isah Mohammed Ashiru of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, challenging the verdict of the election petitions tribunal which affirmed El-Rufai’s victory at the 2019 gubernatorial election in the state.

New Minimum Wage: NLC, TUC Threatens Govt With Strike

The organised Labour in Kwara State has threatened to embark on industrial action if the state government fails to implement the ₦30,000 new minimum wage.

The labour union comprising of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, issued the threat during an emergency meeting held at the Labour House in Ilorin, the state capital, yesterday.

Breaking: Court Clears APC To Conduct Congresses In Rivers

The coast is now clear for the All Progressives Congress,APC, to conduct its Ward Local Government and State Congresses in Rivers State.

This is because a High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has struck out the originating summons brought by one Ibrahim Umar and twenty-two others against the APC.

The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Udom Emmanuel as the governor of Akwa Ibom State.

The unanimous judgment of the apex court, delivered by Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammad, dismissed the appeal challenging Emmanuel’s election.

Igbo Groups Bicker Over 2023 Presidency

The  South East for President 2023 (SEFORP2023) and the Pan-Nigeria Presidency of Igbo Extraction Coalition (PANDIEF) are at loggerheads over who should superintend the quest for  President of Igbo extraction in 2023.
